NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries are the latest technology that has
enabled more battery capacity into the same space. In fact user manuals for
cameras prefer these NiMH batteries to alkalines. NiMH capacities have increased in recent months
from 1600 mAh to over 2700 mAh. What this means is a longer duration plus a higher energy level. The old
Nickel Cadnium (NiCds) have now been superseded by NiMH in so many ways there
is now little reason to use them.
How long can NiMH batteries last?Last up to twice as long as ordinary rechargeable batteries. Can be recharged up to 1000 times! Memory free operation means you can charge PowerEX batteries anytime you like.
